NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Junior Backup Administrator to join our team in Rockville, Maryland (US-MD), United States (US).

Duties

Performs daily backup and restore administration, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring functions. Works on critical backup and restore related projects under the direction of Senior Backup Administrator. Assists with upgrades and migrations for backup and restore hardware and software. Troubleshoots issues with regards to backup and restore environments. Assists in monitoring backups and restores status in reference to performance as well as usage and trends analysis. Performs additional backup and restore duties as required.

Basic Qualifications:

HS Education Requirement

1 years of relevant experience or equivalent work experience

1+ years hands-on experience with maintaining large backup and restore environments.

Possesses a basic level of experience with managing and troubleshooting tape libraries, tape silos, tape media, drive failures, device connectivity and cabling, as well as backup management software and servers. Has junior level knowledge and experience with backup and restore principles and design. Has knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft operating systems as it pertains to backups and restores.
