Title: Jr. Software (Systems) Engineer (1 Open)

Location: Herndon, VA

Clearance: TS/SCI With Polygraph

Position Description:

The team will deliver new automation capabilities that utilize infrastructure as code best practices and establishes a continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline. This includes engineering and configuring the tools required to establish the pipeline (Jenkins and Git). Additionally, the team will interface with senior management and should have professional work experience.

You shall work closely with networks, security, and desktops teams; however, priorities will be managed by staff leadership.

Contractor support for the Global Services team requirements shall include:

* Engineer and integrate tools required to establish CI/CD pipeline
* Utilize infrastructure as code to deliver core infrastructure services including:
* Active Directory
* DNS
* DHCP
* Server Patching



Provide workflows and associated documentation for created pipelines. Ensure that the engineered solutions are able to be transitioned successfully back to the resident team for ongoing operation following the conclusion of this modernization engagement.

Required:

You should have professional work experience with cloud technologies and application development. The team shall, at a minimum, possess the following experience:

* Sponsors cloud environment services
* Object oriented programming
* Jenkins
* Configuration Management tools
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and ability to engineer within an agile framework
* Familiarity with Git and JIRA

Desired:

* Experience with multiple hypervisors, to include VMWare, Hyper-V, and AHV
* HCI platform deployments, transitions from legacy platforms, and sustainment maintenance/administration (preferably with Nutanix)
* Experience or familiarity with implementing globally-dispersed hosting platforms across network-constrained environments
* Ability to systematically analyze environmental variables and determine optimal architectures for platform services
* Cloud technology (preferably with Amazon Web Services)
* Configuration Management tools
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and ability to engineer within an agile framework
* Familiarity with Git and JIRA tools
