Responsibilities:

Seeking a highly motivated, flexible Configuration Manager who can think on their feet and execute in a fast changing environment to support the Army's 1st Information Operations Command.

The successful candidate for this position will have the ability to work independently, be creative and resourceful, and be willing to take the initiative. Individual must be comfortable in a fast-paced atmosphere and have the ability to perform well under pressure and with tight deadlines. Ability to think 'outside the box' is a definite plus.

The Configuration Manager will provide support in the areas of acquisition management and contract administration. The Configuration Manager will prepare Purchase Request (PR) Packages. This includes conducting market research and preparing the following documents: Transmittal letters, Market Research Memo, Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE), Market Research/Commerciality Determination (MRCD), or Brand Name and Sole Source Justifications (J & A). As part of this process, the Configuration Manager interfaces with users' and gathers and analyzes their software and software acquisition requirements.

Other duties includes and is not limited to submitting requests into the organization's electronic Configuration Control Board Application, as well as track and coordinate requests. Prepares documentation for the Board Configuration Control Board meetings. Tracks and updates statuses of contracts in various software applications and spreadsheets. Also, tracks and updates SW/HW maintenance, licenses and Government Purchase Credit card purchases information. Documents and monitors software and licensing. Contact vendors about contract information.

The Configuration Manager reviews contract documentation for compliance with government acquisition policies and regulations. Reviews and evaluates existing procedures, update standard operating procedures. The Configuration Manager must have the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments possess good verbal and written communication skills to present information to senior leadership and customer at different levels.

Requirements:

* Minimum of 3 years of procurement or acquisition experience and a bachelors degree; will consider 4 years of procurement or Acquisition experience in lieu of a degree


* Knowledge of Software and Hardware specification


* Knowledge of Software license agreements


* 8570 requirements will be provided separately



Security Clearance:

* Top Secret DoD clearance with SCI Access

Bonus Points:

* Understanding of DoD, Army, and Federal guidelines and best practices regarding Acquisition


* Knowledge of DoD's Acquiline application


* Knowledge of ASID


* Hardware and Software Requirements Analysis
