Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in the Global Markets environment. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth capital markets product knowledge, and manage a high level of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for associates supporting Global Markets.

Able to demonstrate proficiency with Java and a reasonable subset of the following as befitting your experience level:

* Languages: Scala, Python, Linux Shells
* Big Data Stack - Spark, Impala, HDFS, Kafka, HBase, SQL and/or NoSQL databases
* SCM (GIT/Perforce, Maven/Gradle)
* Unix/Linux
* Messaging (MQ, JMS, AMPS, Kafka)
* Spring (spring-boot, spring-data)
* Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate)
* Concurrent Programming, Object Oriented Design, Design Principles and Patterns, Agile Practices
* Test Driven and Behavior Driven Development and related frameworks
* Aspect Oriented Programming
* Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control
*

Additionally, it would be nice to have experience in any of the following:

* Foreign Exchange Markets, Electronic Payments & Settlements
* RESTful APIs, Web Services
* JavaScript, JSON, JQuery, Angular, Node.js
* HTML5, CSS, AJAX, MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring)
* JSP/JSTL and Servlets, EJBs
