NTT DATA Services currently seeks a Java J2EE Spring Developer to join our team in San Leandro, California (US-CA), United States (US).

This is a hands-on role with primary focus on analysis, design, and development of complex web applications. We are looking for Senior Java/J2ee developers with strong passion for developing quality code and deep understanding of core concepts of java/J2ee & microservices technologies.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

* Create solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces.
* Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality.
* Design and develop user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.
* Recommend system solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development and purchase alternatives.
* Complete applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms.
* Support client by developing documentation and assistance tools.
* Hands on experience with test driven development (TDD) is a must
* Clear understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON and SOAP/WSDL
* Experience in Oracle 10g/11g
* Strong experience in application development using SQL, PL/SQL Experience in performance tuning techniques Experience in development tools like SQL PLUS, TOAD
* Working knowledge of database modeling is plus.
* Experience in Shell Script is a plus
* Understanding of Web services approach including Web service protocols such as SOAP and REST.
* Understanding of SOA concepts, principles and patterns is required.
* Additional Technical Skills: Java, Java Applets, Web Programming Skills, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, Web User Interface Design, Software Requirements, Software Development Process, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Software Debugging, AJAX, Spring ORM Frameworks (Hibernate), SQL & Databases (PL/SQL), Java Message Service (JMS), HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Application Servers (WebLogic)

Basic Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in Java/JEE-JAVA Framework-Spring Development
* 5+ years of experience in Methodologies-Agile with Scrum
* 5+ years of experience in UI Development-Web development - client only-Spring-MVC
