Role Description
Join small team responsible for applications which:
Process High- volume trading- system tag/value data feeds, as well as other data sources
Applications load this real time data to MySQL and to industry standard formats
Provide data for a variety of business purposes including Management Information Systems , Trading Analytics, Compliance and Operational Support
Key player in new high visibility project
Key objectives critical to success in this role:
Required:
Strong core Java / multi- threaded applications / client/serve r
Strong with scripting languages and Unix environment
SQL experience with High- Volume inserts, and efficient queries and stored procedures (e.g. MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server)
Very strong communication skills
Very Desirable
Any experience with message based trading systems and industrystandard protocols such as the FIX protocol
Willingness to tackle complexities of a proprietary low latency trading system and corresponding object model
Big data tools and design principals for efficient retrieval of large data sets
Flexibility to work in different tool environments
