Job Description

Apply software engineering techniques and industry best practices to solve clear business problems. Write well-designed, efficient code in the development of applications that support the back end configurations of our global ecommerce sites. Includes Java programming, SQL, code analysis, debugging, development and unit testing according to Object Oriented Design principles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Development activities related to projects and production support activities
* Ensure the quality of project deliverables through code and test case reviews
* Work closely with the Project Manager to accurately report status, risk and mitigation strategies
* Participate in the on call rotation for production support
* Other projects and responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT related field or an equivalent combination of education/experience
* 0-3 years Software Development experience with Java, SQL and Object Oriented Design Principles
* Ability to apply software design patterns to business and technical problems
* Technology experience with B2C web commerce software and order fulfillment/ distribution center systems a plus
* Experience in Java application performance profiling and analysis
* Agile development methodologies preferred
* High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
* Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, and presentation skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
