Job Description

The Voice Services Intern is responsible for provisioning and request management functions of the support team. Any candidate who aspires to fill this role should have experience working with Windows OS platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and web-based applications. Strong communication, customer support, and organizational skills are highly valued as the role directly interfaces with customers. A Voice Services Intern must serve as a reliable team player, showing the ability to collaborate with peers, communicate effectively, accept and deliver on assigned duties, and remain organized and self-motivated in completing tasks independently when necessary.

The Voice Services Intern works under the direction of the Voice Team Lead.

* Adheres to documentation and best practices, and provides feedback for improvements to the team


* Provides timely updates to Team Lead and management on issues



Duties and Responsibilities:

* Performs adds/moves/changes on telephony systems based on documented standards


* Fulfills requests and completes tasks per customer needs on ancillary communication systems


* Engages customers to ensure needs are met and issues are resolved on a per-request basis


* Assists in preparation and/or improvement of documentation related to Voice Services request fulfillment


* Communicates issue and request escalations to peers and team leadership

Required:

* Current enrollment in an undergraduate program.



Desired:

* Ability to work during the school year (10 month maximum assignment)


* Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in the following areas: Network Engineering, Network Security, Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field


* Completion of at least 6 semesters/12 quarters towards undergraduate degree or have begun graduate program
