IT Technician - Associate Administrator

Alutiiq Technical Services, LLC has an immediate full-time opportunity for an IT Technical Support Technician for a fast-paced US Navy client in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate must be customer service oriented, possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be able to work with senior government and military leadership one-on-one and understand protocol and US military rank. Must have an active Secret Security Clearance.

Selected candidate will provide direct user-level support to senior navy personnel to include assisting in troubleshooting, printing, initiating and tracking service calls. Candidate will be responsible for researching, tracking, ordering and maintaining computer equipment and multimedia resources as well as maintaining video-teleconferencing and telephone equipment.

Candidates must be customer service oriented, possess excellent organizational and communication skills. Candidates should have working knowledge of Navy Marine Corps Internet (NMCI) operations to include ordering, tracking and maintaining records on all on-site IT and Telecom equipment. Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite a must. Additional office support duties as required.

* Perform non-NMCI troubleshooting, resolve desktop/laptop operating problems, assess user needs and requirements and interface with NMCI as necessary.
* Install security updates and perform routine security assessments on non-NMCI desktops and laptops.
* Operate and coordinate maintenance and repair of Video Teleconference (VTC) equipment.
* On-site NMCI POC responsible for coordination of tech-refresh; inventory in Net database; tracks FastTrack Orders. Working knowledge of NMCI web based Portals and Move-Add-Change (MAC) program a plus.
* Supports on-site Security Manager as necessary for operational and maintenance support for Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET).
* Responsible for configuration management and inventory of all IT, VTC equipment, multimedia and TELECOM assets.
* Provide dedicated desktop IT support to senior navy leadership.
* Manage health and welfare of on-site legacy standalone computers.
* Maintain inventory control and ordering of all office equipment and computer consumables.
* Attend meetings, VTCs, and TeleCons as IT Subject Matter Expert (SME).
* Backs up shuttle driving within the immediate capital area (Selected candidate will provide copy of state driving record).
* Assists with Central Reservation Desk operations; conference room support.
* Provides necessary operational and maintenance backup support for Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET).

Required Skills

* Requires a BS or BA degree in a business, management or relative technical discipline. The equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work experience can be substituted for a BS or BA degree.
* Requires at least two (2) years of related administrative and analytical experience.
* Expert knowledge of MS Office with particular emphasis on Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
* Must have excellent written and oral communications skills and work with minimal supervision.
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
