Job Description

The information technology (IT) Support Specialist - I is an entry level position devoted to all aspects of help desk, computer set-up, installation, troubleshooting, service, upgrades, maintenance, and projects. The IT Support Specialist - I reports to the Director of I.T. and is a non-exempt position.

Responsibilities

* Provides first response to all users within the organization to support software, hardware, peripherals, network, operating systems, internet services, VOIP, and mobile technologies
* Logs, tracks, and monitors to completion all reported issues via trouble tickets, escalating significant issues as appropriate.
* Completes the installation, configuration, and deployment of workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices as instructed for deployment across the organization.
* Adheres to and provides feedback on department policies and procedures.
* Reports pertinent information to management as needed or on an established scheduled.
* Participates in a rotational on-call schedule for help desk coverage.
* Available to perform field service calls to remote offices in support of operations.
* All other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Specialized computer and networking education, training, or experience.
* 2 or 4 year degree
* Technical Certifications (A+, Network+, MCP, MCSE, VMWare, Citrix, Cisco, EMC, ITILv3)
* 1-3 years of experience


* Exposure or direct experience with Windows, Linux, and Apple Operating systems, Active Directory, Exchange, VOIP, MDM, Citrix, Virtualization, and application support.
* Strong knowledge of and ability to support the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Visio) required.
* Awareness and experience with ITIL v3 including; Patch Management, Service Management, Change Management, Incident Management.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on call rotation on occasion or as needed.

Educational / Experience Requirements:

* College degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
* 1-3 years relevant experience.
* A+, Network+ and/or additional technical certifications.
* ITIL v3 awareness and experience.

Additional Duties:

* Periodic physical labor, which may include moving equipment or furniture up to 50 lbs and flexibility to crawl underneath desks or tables to access network jacks and electric receptacles.
* Weekend and after-hour work required on occasion.
* Visual and auditory skills.
* Valid driver's license in order to support branch locations as required.

One to three (3) years' experience in related positions normally required.
