IT Support Specialist -

Corporate Helpdesk & Classroom Technical Support

Infosec is hiring a full-time Classroom Set-Up and Help Desk Technician in a fast-paced highly autonomous environment. Our ideal candidate is efficient, pays close attention to detail, is technically adept, has a customer service mindset and has some experience with computer hardware and Operating Systems.

The primary role is to provide Helpdesk support for our virtual student environment, to set up machines/classrooms for training solutions each week at our local venues, and to provide technical support to our students and instructors on a daily basis. This is a highly flexible position with modified Monday through Friday schedules combined with regularly evening and weekend activities; all based on weekly class support requirements.

Self-motivated. Micro-management is not for you; you know what needs to be done, by when and plan your schedule to consistently meet deadlines.

Tech savvy. You know that cybersecurity is a growing concern and that fighting the bad guys is important, but you also have the knowledge to contribute. You've studied networks and operating systems. You're familiar with the certifications available and probably have one yourself.

Your responsibilities:

* Live Online Helpdesk support for our customers attending classes remotely.
* Classroom Technical Set-Up: Image and set up classroom machines for our classes run out of our Northern Virginia/DC/Maryland training location(s).
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot classroom workstations for a large variety of networking and information security classes and Corporate Users
* Provide user desktop support and resolve basic network issues.
* Escalate problems to be resolved by senior IT Staff, when needed.
* Instructor support during classes.
* Pre-class technical support to sales and customers

Essential Duties:

* Strong work ethic and desire to help students/customers
* Strong troubleshooting skills
* Ability to work in a largely remote/dispersed business ecosystem
* Strong Computer user skills with a basic understanding of networking preferred.
* Team player and Customer Service oriented attitude.
* Able to work independently without direct supervision
* Quick study with the ability to learn and apply new information, think on your feet, problem-solve and communicate professionally in a highly technical environment
* Dependable transportation with the ability to work multiple locations in the Dulles area when required
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* 2 to 3 years equivalent experience.
* Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
