The IT Department is responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems and for providing efficient desktop support to all business users. The department is also responsible for resolving any IT-related issues quickly and efficiently, including a broad range of queries from how to set up an email account to system diagnostics, plus enhancing and developing the IT provision extended within the business.

The position will provide effective IT assistance across all aspects of the business. The position is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems plus general maintenance of all IT-related hardware/software.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Performing desktop support, software distribution and patch management to Windows-based desktops, laptops, and virtual workstations.
* Working closely with other teams to develop collaborative solutions and ensure the firm's business needs are being met.
* Researching and providing input on new products and solutions.
* Developing and institutionalizing standard operating procedures and maintain a strong documentation library.
* Using IT ticket management and change management systems per company procedures; expediently respond to and resolve incident ticket escalations for areas covered by this position.
* Creating and maintaining documentation for systems and procedures using ITIL best practices.

Minimum requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a minimum of 6 months experience in a regulated industry, e.g. SOX, GMP, ISO
* Understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP routing protocols.
* Strong technical and analytical skills.
* Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of software issues.
* Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
* Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change.
* Ability to handle clients professionally during all interfaces.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in problem analysis and resolution of software problems.
* Industry certifications are a plus
