Responsibilities

As an IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS / CUSTSPT), you will:

* Manage acquisitions for assigned customers, using automated workflows in online business applications such as Remedy and the Integrated Acquisitions System (IAS).
* Request quotes from IT vendors for software/hardware support contracts, as well as IT services contracts.
* Communicate with customers on regular basis to ensure customer service is satisfactory and to validate requirements in advance of procurements.
* Prepare budget estimates and review assigned budget items on a regular basis.
* Provide needs analyses to define opportunities for customers to improve business process, consult with customers to identify and specify system requirements, develop overall functional and system requirements for customers, reengineer business processes, and conducts feasibility studies and trade-off analysis.
* Work with Contracting Officers and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) to resolve procurement and service delivery issues.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience at the GS-12 level: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service, which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is described as experience:

* Working with Microsoft Active Directory; OR
* Working with Software Inventory tools and applications such as Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or IBM Bigfix; OR
* Using IT Software Licensing Management.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

* Customer Service- Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
* Oral Communication- Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
* Problem Solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
