This position is located in the Department of the Treasury, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Enterprise Business Solutions, Digital Services Team. The goals of the IT specialist position is to perform Applications Life-cycle functions including requirements analysis, and applications design and development.

Responsibilities

As an IT Specialist, you will:

* Conduct empathy-based qualitative user testing to understand their needs.
* Execute synthesis of user testing data to understand behavior with the product and how it relates to the overall design project goals.
* Lead structured and unstructured ideation sessions using a variety of human-centered design tools to foster the divergent thinking that leads to breakthrough ideas.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

* Experience designing, developing and maintaining responsive websites and applications; AND
* Experience in HTML5, CSS, Java Script, hand-coding, structural and semantic markup; AND
* Experience working cross functionally with design and technical teams using an Agile (SCRUM) development methodology; AND
* Experience interacting with customers to gather requirements for project scope, problem resolution or training.

In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
