Position Summary / Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a motivated, a customer oriented Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM) / Spectrum Protect Administrator

The TSM/Spectrum Protect Administrator will help Team successfully operate and maintain classified and
unclassified DOD back-up and recovery systems. This position will assist in supporting the data protection of 800+ Windows
and Linux servers (physical and virtual) as well as the protection of NAS data. The job requires configuring and supporting
backup schedules as well as file restores. Participation in Disaster Recovery exercises is required. This job includes
demonstrating knowledge and skills associated with backing up Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint, Windows, Linux, and
VMware.

Lead, analyze, and define systems IT needs. Apply knowledge of enterprise IT needs to design improved processes, generate
valid requirements, and ensure these are consistent with the enterprise technical architecture. Act as an advisor to IT system
engineers and propose changes to the enterprise technical architecture based on analysis of requirements and new
technology. Work with appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies between proposed IT systems and enterprise quality and
security standards.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* IBM Spectrum Protect (formerly Tivoli Storage Manager(TSM)), IBM ProtectTIER VTLs, IBM tape Libraries, IBM Cloud Object
Storage, DellEMC Data Domain VTLs, and other related backup and recovery infrastructure components
* Add-remove of appropriate backup data agents for Exchange, SQL, etc as needed.
* Configuration of Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments (VE)
* Respond to incidents, customer service requests, working with vendors as needed, and update Remedy as to events and
status.
* Develop and implement change requests using the ITIL-based change management process.
* Perform application and application host OS security patching and software upgrades
* Conduct customer training
* Assist with customer data restoration
* Participate in quality control efforts
Position Requirements
* Bachelor's degree and 13 years of experience with working in systems integration and IT architecture planning, design, and
development
* Experience with environments where IT services are internally managed and provided or where services are provided by a
third-party service provider
* 4 years' experience with IBM TSM/Spectrum Protect
* DoD 8570.01-M/DoD 8140 compliant

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience using IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments
* Familiarity with AIX and TSM/Spectrum protect running on AIX
* Experience supporting Data Domain Storage appliances, IBM ProtectTIER VTLs, IBM tape Libraries, and other related backup
and recovery infrastructure
* MA or MS degree preferred
* Experience in environments with multiple networks and multiple security domains
* Experience with developing strategic plans
* Experience with business requirements gathering and analysis
* Experience with systems design and development
* Experience with project planning and management
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure and constantly changing environment
* Possession of excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
* ITIL Certification
* IBM Certified - Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM)
* VMware VCP
* Nutanix Platform professional
