General Summary / Overview Statement:
This is an exempt or non-clinical position is responsible for day to day operational support, maintenance, and expansion of Compass Medical's 24 x 7 x 365 enterprise computing platform which includes, but is not limited to the physical and virtual servers, physical and virtual desktops, services provided by such devices, the storage systems used to support the enterprise platform, and the security and audit functions of this infrastructure. This role will participate in the on call rotation and will also be responsible for supporting the Director of IT and other members of the Information Technology department, while absorbing SME knowledge and enhancing his/her own skill-sets.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the business physical and virtual server infrastructure, and security
Receiving, asset tagging, configuring, installing new server, workstation, and storage devices
Uninstalling, "sanitizing", decommissioning of old server, workstation, and storage devices
Performing hardware and software maintenance on server, workstation, and storage devices
Oversee server, workstation, and storage security and auditing functions
Create and maintain server, workstation, and storage documentation which includes but is not limited to: Visio diagrams, spreadsheets, configuration templates & archives, build documents
Monitor system performance and implement approved performance tuning
Document server and storage problems and resolution for future reference.
Provide support to all IT department team members in addition to users
Provide subject matter expertise to team for architecture and design of new systems
Manage resources associated to assigned projects and meet target dates
Be part of an on call rotation.
Stay current with knowledge of related technologies, designs, methods, and trends
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of HIPAA.
Configuring, managing, and maintaining both physical and virtual infrastructures
Hands-on experience with current Windows server and workstation platforms
Hands-on experience with current virtualization platforms (VMware and/or Citrix/ZenApp)
Strong troubleshooting skills (Hardware & Software)
Server backup and restoration processes
A solid understanding of TCP/IP network concepts and network trouble-shooting
A solid understanding of group policy objects, print servers, access control lists
A basic understanding of routers, firewalls, traffic managers
SAN/NAS experience and associated troubleshooting (Prefer: HP EVA4400 & NETAPP )
Chassis based servers (Prefer: HP C7000 & Cisco UCS)
The following qualifications would be a value added qualification, but are not required:
Microsoft Certification MCPIT Sever Enterprise Admin,
VM Ware (VCP/VCAP) / Citrix (CCAA/CCEE/ CCEA)
MS Exchange 2010 or later, MS SQL 2008 or later, MS
Skills and Abilities:
Must have strong analytical abilities and be able to think "outside the box"
Must have good organizational skills and be able to multi-task, as well as manage projects, time, and meet target dates
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be client-focused and service driven
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
Must be able to adapt to a dynamic environment, which includes the ability to stay late or work weekends/holidays to resolve issues and perform maintenance, as well as working from multiple Compass Medical and remote locations
