The Coyote Information Security Team has an opening for an IT Security Analyst. This role is responsible for expanding Coyote's information security program through the implementation of technical and process controls. The Coyote Information Security team is also responsible for threat and vulnerability management, incident response, solution review, and risk management.

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities

* Ability to work with both technical and business teams to understand impact of security controls on business processes
* Performs detailed analysis to identify IT security impacts or considerations and translates into secure, viable technical solutions
* Review, prioritize, analyze, correlate and respond to security alerts
* Respond to IT Security incidents
* Deliver reports and assessments to senior management, facilitating understanding of cyber threats relevant to the organization
* Research, evaluate and assist in implementing corporate security solutions
* Ensure the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies
* Work to continually improve the tools, processes, and systems utilized within the department
* Assist with internal audit initiatives for IT processes and systems to demonstrate the adequacy and appropriateness of IT controls

Essential Skills, Characteristics, & Experience

* The ability to execute on information security projects independently and as a part of a team
* Endpoint security experience
* Working knowledge of risk and vulnerability assessments
* Working knowledge of Network security
* Understand system patching and hardening concepts
* Passion for IT Security and learning
* Integrity and discretion with sensitive information and situations
* Sense of urgency and independent work ethic
* Understanding of email security concepts and tools

Valued Skills & Experience

* 1+ years of experience or formal education in IT Security
* Experience supporting and maintaining Windows environments
* Experience with industry standard vulnerability assessment tools
* Experience with network firewalls
