MetroStar Systems is looking for an IT Project Manager that is passionate about bringing creative software solutions to end customers. Our Civilian Business Unit is responsible for providing IT services and support for Federal Civilian agencies. We develop cutting edge technical solutions utilizing emerging technologies for our customers. Come be a game changer and join our team!

The majority of work will be completed on customer site located in Suitland, Maryland.

You'll love our company if…

(This is the stuff you MUST have to be a fit)

* You have 10+ years of experience with software development program planning/management.
* You have experience working in an Agile development environment and leading multiple cross-functional scrum and Kanban teams
* Technical background in Systems Engineering (Linux/Unix), Enterprise Architecture or similar.
* You have experience with automated software deployment using GIT, Jenkins in Maven.
* You have working understanding of code and script (Java, JavaScript, Python, and Perl).You have the ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is preferred)
* You have working knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service

* You have a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
* You are able to participate as a leading member of Government led Agile Teams to develop and sustain software in an agile fashion using the prescribed agile practices following the Government specified Sprint and Release cadences.
* You are able to recommend points at which Sprints dedicated to architectural issues are appropriate and participate actively in architectural review activities.
* You have a Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field.
* You have CSM or PMI-ACP Certification.
* You have the requirements to receive a Public Trust Clearance.

What your day will look like:

* You'll work with technical teams to provide development, modernization and enhancements to mission critical software applications.
* You'll bridge any gaps between the Technical and Business Teams.
* You'll develop, cultivate and manage customer relationships.
* You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining project plans.
* You'll manage potential impacts of project scope changes and make recommendations to software development projects.
* You'll escalate risks of the project to appropriate government and company stakeholders.
