Summary

This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of the specific project. This position will work closely with upper- level management and various departments to make sure that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule to ensure success in project outcomes.

Responsibilities:

* Manage individual projects and portfolio of projects across multiple teams
* Define the overall scope of the project, build charter, maintain status
* Build and maintain a consolidated timeline highlighting the major achievements and associated dates for project activities
* Identify and communicate project dependencies and impacts
* Put controls in place to set expectations and ensure effective governance of projects
* Ensure success criteria defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage expected project outcomes
* Keep all stakeholders (internal & external) engaged in the project, aligned on expected outcomes and informed about what is occurring throughout project
* Lead project team in brainstorming, root cause analysis, or similar problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving issues, crafting solutions, or defining process improvement
* Oversee project management functional area and drive improvements and maturity to benefit the organization
* Ensures full compliance with UNIFY Financial Credit Union Service Standards, policies, and procedures; all applicable State and Federal regulations; and the Bank Secrecy Act
* Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent required
* 2+ years of professional experience as a Project Manager or equivalent position responsible for defining and managing project scope, timelines, communication, and effective delivery of solutions
* Proficient with PM tools such as MS Project
* Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in project management processes and methodologies, as well as software development project lifecycles
* Experience in driving concurrent and complex projects within a matrixed organization
* Ability to lead multiple, concurrent projects
* Travel Required 10%-15%

Preferred Experience & Skills

* 4-year college degree + 2 years of experience in Project Management field OR advanced degree in Project Management field + 2 years of relevant experience
* Experience in online banking and/or financial technology software
* Strong communicator able to identify and clearly communicate the impact of project risks to budget, timeline and scope to key business stakeholders and multiple levels of leadership
* Strong data analytical skills able to collect, analyze and use data to drive business decisions
* Experience working with a Product Management organization
* Solution oriented mindset creative use of technology and alternative approaches
* Strong attention to detail and dedication to high quality deliverables
* Able to work with teams to balance solution vs. budget, schedule, and tools
* Ability to work independently and as a team member
* Enthusiasm to learn new technologies, and ability to do so quickly, on the job
* Professional demeanor and comfortable working with executives and leadership
