The Operations Analyst is part of our Global Information Technology Organization in the Production Control team responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the systems environment through monitoring of the global infrastructure, business processes, and applications. In addition, they are responsible for the resolution and/or escalation of the production incidents through L2 troubleshooting procedures.

Responsibilities:

* Ensure all monitoring is consistent for the Infrastructure of the ESC for system reliability.
* Ensuring the effective operation of the systems environment through level (L2) troubleshooting of the global infrastructure, business processes, and applications.
* Working with Level 3 (L3) teams in the Network, System, SAP Basis Administrators, application owners and other technical staff to ensure procedures are followed and resolution of incidents are completed.
* Keeping Team Leaders and Managers up-to-date regarding incidents and outstanding items.
* Ensure all critical incidents are communicated to senior management.
* Documentation of all incidents through ticketing system.
* Independently researches and develops new processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
* Available to cover Production Control departments 14x7 shift schedule including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
* Perform Level 2 (L2) support for all Data Center systems including SAP, Oracle, DB2, HANA, AIX, Windows, WAN, LAN and Cisco to ensure the Colgate business is not impacted.
* Perform daily operations such as Tape Backups/Vaulting, SAP OSS connections, Alert Monitoring, Incident Management, System Recycles and other required activities.
* Keep all Production staff up-to-date regarding incidents and outstanding items by updating and communicating shift turnover.
* Execution of program changes to SAP systems using the SAP CHARM system and standard STMS transaction. i.e. transports
* Troubleshoot Autosys job application scheduler, work with vendor to resolve incidents, research new functionality, apply necessary fixes, and participate in upgrades.
* Participate in departmental projects to increase efficiency, simplify processes, and automate tasks.
* Start up and shut down of SAP, AIX, applications, and Windows systems when required such as during monthly maintenances.
* Create, update and enhance internal documentation.
* Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the IT infrastructure.
* Perform all tasks with limited supervision.

Expeorience & Qualifications:

* Willingness to work in shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
* 2+ years' experience in Data Center Operations or IT related field preferred
* Job scheduling experience preferred
* Proficiency in G-Suite applications
* Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure
* Working knowledge of AIX, LINUX, and Windows based operating systems
* Working knowledge of SAP Basis
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills
* Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred:

* Currently, have or pursuing a Bachelor's degree in computer science or another related field.
* In-depth knowledge of CA Workload Automation and Workload Control Center (AutoSys)
* Experience with automation tools & processes
* Knowledge of UNIX scripting
* 1-2 years' experience with DB2 / Networking / System Administration
* Knowledge in software tools such as Big Fix, xMatters, IBM NOI and Splunk
