The IT AppDev Manager is responsible for managing various in-house applications and build new applications or enhance existing applications to meet evolving business needs. Operational Support for home-grown .NET and iOS apps(used on iOS devices) as well as building new apps or enhancing existing iOS apps.

We're looking for someone who not only has a strong technical background, but who has a passion for business relationship management, strategic technology roadmap and project planning, people management, and project delivery. You'll be working closely with other IT teams and business departments to deliver new features and maintain the systems. This position will work with the business and IT teams and external partners to assure requirements are clear and execution is efficient. People management along with strong technical and planning skills are important.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide day-to-day PRODUCTION support for various in-house/self-developed applications
* Establish strong relationships and interact daily with cross-functional partners - business, IT and external vendors
* Manage the application development efforts for various strategic IT initiatives in different areas of the business.
* Maintain and expand an efficient and productive delivery team, continuously ensuring that execution and quality are kept high.
* Do QA for work done by junior team members.


* Identify any impediments the teams may have in fully delivering IT initiatives and ensure they are removed in a timely manner
* Come up with creative solutions for various business and IT challenges/opportunities in the current technology landscape
* Communicate effectively with team members, internal and external partners
* Manage APP-DEV aspects of project delivery -
* For APP-DEV tasks and projects -- create high-level project timelines and detailed tasks in collaboration with various internal (IT and business) partners and external vendors
* Review and understand business requirements
* Participate in design sessions to produce, review and approve BRDs, FSDs, wireframes, and visual designs with business, technical teams and external vendors.
* Track app-dev delivery as per the agreed upon project timeline and project plan/tasks
* Attend (as needed) weekly project status meeting with all internal and external stakeholders


* For any work done by external consultants - manage vendor relations including contracts, SOWS, change orders and resources.
* People Management - manage internal IT resources and consultants as needed to support the IT systems and key projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 7-10 years of relevant IT APP-DEV experience in .NET Technologies and other related areas
* 2-3 years of experiences in iOS App Dev
* 5+ years of experience with people management - internal and external resources
* Proficient using JIRA and other project and incident management tools to track IT initiatives
* Experience with focused team-based development
* Strong collaboration skills with external partners, internal IT and business partners
* Experience building out development processes such as issue tracking, release management, and QA
* Ability to understand technical requirements, architecture, and coding concepts
* Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize
* Ability to manage several activities/projects in parallel

* Desire and ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and creative environment
