We have an outstanding opportunity for a Help Desk / Service Desk Tech to support a major DoD program in Alexandria, VA.

You will provide deskside or phone support to users across the several DoD networks. You will be responsible for responding to trouble calls, initiating and maintaining trouble tickets and other logs to document anomalies. When the incident is resolved you will document corrective actions for troubleshooting and capturing metrics.

You will provide technical support to resolve the problem or escalate to the appropriate level and monitor and administer network tools for troubleshooting and metrics for trends analysis. You will be responsible for logging all issues utilizing a ticketing system documenting problems, errors, and maintenance in such a way to easily generate reports for trend analysis. You will provide technical support in data network planning, engineering, and design and report all trouble calls and provide hourly updates until resolution.

Required Qualifications

* A High School diploma is required with 3+ years technical support experience
* Must possess a current Security+ CE certification (or IAT II)
* Must posess a DoD Secret clearance to start
* Demonstrated excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communications, ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to work with little or no supervision (phone, email and walk-up)
* Active Directory knowledge of account management
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and present data in written and oral manner
* Experience with Windows 7; Windows 10 is a PLUS
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010/2013 Suite
* Past experience using ticketing systems is preferred
* Windows 7 Configuration, MCP, MCDST, or MCTS cert is a PLUS
