IT Governance and Project Management office

(IT Specialist or Senior Associate)

Background: We are looking for an experienced professional to join the IT Policy and Planning division to support the IT Governance processes of the Bank which includes the Project Management office, the IT Internal Control framework, IT Change Management and IT systems readiness process.

The team: The ITE department is responsible for formulating the Bank's IT Strategy, its implementation and providing related tools, solutions and services. The ITE/IPP Policy and Planning Division is the focal point for IT policies, architecture, and governance for the IDB.

What you'll do: Working with the IT Governance Team Leader, you will primarily:

* Work with project managers to monitor, oversee, advise and support the execution and performance of portfolio IT projects while maintaining a repository of project artifacts, including but not limited to, all mandatory project documentation such as Project Proposals, Project Charters, Project Plans, Work Breakdown Structures, Communications Plans and Risk Management plans.


* Oversee the IT Capital Plan Project proposal process and collaborate on the Mid-Term Capital Budget Plan exercise.


* Coordinate PMO Presentation Meetings, Plan Review Meetings and provide support for gating requirements and the IT Project Management Methodologies.


* Provide support to the IT Change Management process and oversee the process is followed appropriately.


* Participate in the coordination and maintenance of the IT Internal Controls framework to address and optimize Information Technology Risks.


* Collaborate in the Information Technology Systems and Applications readiness processes that evaluates and accredit systems that are moved into production.



Skills you'll need:

You hold a Master's Degree (or equivalent degree) from an accredited university in Information Technology, Business or another relevant field. PMP Certification is desirable.

You have a minimum of 4 (8 preferred) years of relevant experience in IT developing an expertise in the area of project management or portfolio management, IT Governance and IT Internal Controls.

* A CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, Agile certification preferred.


* You have acquired at least three years demonstrable Project or Program Management experience.


* Have a background in technology and ability to understand new technologies like Cloud technologies and other new trends.


* Understanding of various project management methodologies (processes, standard methodologies, tools, and templates).


* Knowledge of IT Governance topics, such as IT Change Management and IT Risk Management.


* Good social, written, and oral communication skills.


* You are self-starter with the ability to work independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program and project managers.



Languages: You are proficient in English and in another Bank official language (Spanish, Portuguese and/or French).
