The successful incumbent will be responsible for installation/configuration, operation and support of systems hardware and software related infrastructure. Tasks will be focused on installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of Windows desktop systems and all associated peripherals to include printers, scanners, e-signature pads, etc. Exhibits very strong oral and written communication skills necessary to communicate (technically and non- technically) with other team members; other technology services staff, customers, vendors, partners and leadership; Ensure successful and cooperative completion of tasks and projects and to resolve problems in a timely manner. Demonstrates ability to resolve problems effectively and efficiently required to ensure minimal disruptions and unplanned down times of assigned systems. Knowledge of computing infrastructure including servers, data storage, and supporting infrastructure.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

2 years minimum experience in supporting a complex desktop environment with both administration and problem resolution of Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7 and above issues. In depth understanding desktop antivirus and disk encryption software as well as knowledge of end user interactions with Active Directory concepts, integrations, and basic administration in a Windows environment. Demonstrated working knowledge of Group Policy Objects and Microsoft Office Software. Demonstrated experience with support of associated peripherals. Experience in troubleshooting protocols like HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, DNS and DHCP, TCI/IP in an enterprise environment.

Preferred Requirements:

5 years minimum experience in an enterprise desktop environment with both administration and problem resolution of Microsoft Windows XP/Windows 7/Windows 8.3 years working with Active Directory GPO's.

Special Skills:

Ability to plan, organize and document complex system design activities and to configure systems to be consistent with institutional policies/procedures; Must be able to communicate technical/complex information both verbally and in writing; Ability to establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility; Willing and competent in performing multiple tasks concurrently and responding to emergency situations effectively.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related work experience; Master's Degree Preferred.
