Tanium is expanding rapidly and is searching for a dynamic IT Applications Engineer to take a lead role in the development and maintenance of our ServiceNow instance, with an emphasis on the integration of new and existing systems in order to build cross-departmental workflows and automation. Although ServiceNow will be the primary responsibility, the IT Applications Engineer will also be responsible for the development and evolution of other on -remise or SaaS applications as needed. This role will function as a system owner, developing short and long term strategies around developing and maturing systems in partnership with IT leadership. This role will report to the IT Manager.
The IT Applications Engineer will be central to the development and adoption of the ServiceNow platform enterprise wide. The right candidate will enjoy taking ownership of existing systems, developing automation/efficiencies within those systems, testing and deploying new systems, and educating the end user. A successful candidate will have expertise in ServiceNow or similar enterprise ticketing platform, experience with integrating systems and data using REST/SOAP API's, and experience with managing vendors to assist with large projects.
What you'll do:
* Primary administrator of ServiceNow * Gather requirements and analyze business and user needs in consultation with managers and end users * Analyze complex business problems and assess how new or existing technologies and automated systems can be implemented to solve them * Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements * Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and consistent security posture * Work cross functionally to develop workflows and automation in ServiceNow to drive adoption and user satisfaction * Develop communication plans as required by change management
We're looking for someone with:
* Education * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Required Experience * 3+ years as an IT Applications Engineer, or Tools Engineer with an emphasis on enterprise ticketing platforms and integrations * Demonstrated ability to translate business workflows and requirements into technical solutions * Strong knowledge of both Mac and Windows OS * Systems Integration experience * Project management experience * Excellent communication skills * Other * ServiceNow Certified System Administrator * ServiceNow development experience * ITIL v3 Certification * ServiceNow Certified Application Developer * Service Portal MC * Comfort with JavaScript * REST/SOAP API * Understanding of SDLC * ACMT/ASMT
