The Bank is seeking a qualified individual to join its IT Application Management Team. The Application Management Team provides a broad range of services to the organizations ranging from application functional expertise, technical application support, business analysis, project management, and consulting services to strategic projects.

The Application Analyst role is a new position. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of skills that include solid technical experience, strong communication skills, business acumen, and be a solid team player. The technical skills would ideally include recent development work, a broad understanding of infrastructure concepts such as operating systems and networking, with experience in configuring and supporting enterprise applications.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the in-scope applications, including what business functions are provided by each, the technical architecture, and all application interfaces.
* Business analysis for application upgrades and patches. Document business requirements, use cases, test plans, deployment plans, and user documentation.
* Perform system testing and assist business partners with UAT.
* Project management of application upgrades and patches. Coordinate with the business units, Information Technology, vendors, and various operations teams as necessary. Adhere to the bank's SDLC and employ best practices to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the expectations of project sponsors and stakeholders.
* Participate in technical design sessions.
* Proactively monitor for system issues and adherence to configurations standards. Contribute to issue resolution including reconciliation activities and data analysis.
* Monitor IT systems & processes and assist with problem resolution as needed; escalate when appropriate.
* Support responses to audit and regulatory requests with system and data analysis and report generation as needed
* 4-5 years IT experience in the banking/finance industry highly preferred.
* Strong technical skills with a broad knowledge of development across operating systems is preferred.
* Strong analytic and problem solving skills across a range of technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MS Windows, Linux, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Project).
* Business analysis skills and some experience managing projects is desirable.
* Experience with applications support, systems integration, data conversions, file transfers, and applications installation, configuration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
* Experience in a DevOps environment a strong plus.
* Experience with one or more of the following; Capital Markets, custody, credit & market risk, treasury, custody operations, FX dealing, analytics, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting a strong plus, though not required.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Willingness to take ownership and accountability.
