Responsibilities

* Provide real-time support to an evolving, dynamic and comprehensive digital media platform with a sensitivity to live broadcast, newsroom, web and studio production standards
* Function as a team member and service provider in a high-availability IT environment
* Work under the guidance of the Director, IT and Digital Media and in partnership with the team of IT specialists and broadcast engineers and operators to implement projects where multitasking and changing priorities are a constant
* Have flexibility to work overtime as needed
* Provide weekend on-call support as required on a rotating basis with other team members



Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

Minimum 7 years experience with network infrastructure, FTP, DNS, Firewall, AD, DHCP, Storage, File Backup and Restore and Server Build & Administration

Minimum 5 years experience and working knowledge of the administration of file systems and storage clusters, including the setup of secured storage shares, group policies and data management

Minimum 5 years experience with the setup and troubleshooting of file based workflows, watch folders, transcode and FTP process is required

Desired Characteristics:

Experience working with corporate IT organization on initiatives, upgrades, and system migrations

Expertise with Apple MacPro hardware and OS, PC repair, and server imaging

Advanced knowledge of enterprise Microsoft Windows client server

Advanced knowledge of Enterprise Vmware

Proficiency with *NIX (Linux) based Operating Systems (Ubuntu, Red Hat, etc.)

Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)/ Microsoft Certified Professional

Cisco Certification (CCNA/CCNE)

CompTIA A+ Certification

Demonstrated strength in managing multiple projects with cross-functional teams & concurrent deadlines

Proven track record in successfully leading complex system component integration projects

Degree in Computer Science or related technology degree

Experience providing IT support in a TV broadcast environment, highly desirable

Experience racking, cabling servers and switches

Strong communication skills

Bilingual English/Spanish
