World Travel Holdings is seeking a Scrum Master in our Wilmington, MA office. In this role, you will help the self-organizing team achieve its goals of value delivery and continuous improvement. As a Scrum Master, you will teach, implement, and support Agile principles and best practices while eliminating impediments affecting flow. Responsibilities

* Servant leader to the Engineering Team in their quest to deliver value to meet stakeholder expectations by facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo and retrospective meetings
* Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and the organization, and coach them to higher levels of maturity at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
* Ensure high throughput of development teams by identifying potential issues, removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by collaborating with the appropriate resource
* Manage sprint planning and execution which includes the management of project progress and provide status and visibility
* Facilitate release planning and scheduling by providing empirical Scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, and creating velocity forecasts
* Assist with internal and external communications to improve transparency and radiate information ensuring the team's progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders including the team itself (e.g. backlogs, burn down/up charts, etc.)
* Support and Partner with the Product Owner to groom and maintain the product backlog
* Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible and leading by example
* Complete post mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
* Foster an environment where creativity and empowerment can flourish for the development team

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field
* 3+ years of Scrum Master experience
* Servant Leadership; able to garner respect from your teams, lead and demonstrate value-add principles, and willing and able to get your hands dirty to get the job done
* Strong time management skills and resourcefulness to manage multiple teams with tight deadlines and dependencies
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
* A thorough understanding and appreciation for the Agile values and principles
* Experience owning and managing customer expectations, project schedules, status, reporting and change management
* Ability to understand the technical implementation approach including customer facing application, middleware integration and backend systems architecture

* Scrum Master Certification or PMI-ACP Certification
* Knowledge of project management fundamentals
* Travel industry experience a plus
* This position is located in our Wilmington, MA office and is not eligible for remote employment
