Responsibilities

The Lead Business Analyst works with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to define and document business processes and software requirements for technology initiatives. The Lead Business Analyst works directly with and provides support to the business operations, development and IS service teams.

They are responsible for assisting the assigned resources and activities associated with the implementation, integration, conversion, and ongoing support of the largest and most complex application systems throughout the organization.

Viewed as a functional expert and critical resource across multiple disciplines, this position works independently and interacts with senior business contacts on a regular basis. They are considered the subject matter expert on corporate or clinical application systems. The Lead provides advice to management on the future direction of assigned systems and functionality.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop, manage and collaborate on standard practices and processes within the SDLC framework.
* Leverage technology to help reduce manual tasks and continually improve on the company's requirements process.
* Build and maintain lasting relationships with all business stakeholders.
* Become a mentor to other business specialists and analysts.
* Manages, reviews and prioritizes project work plans in coordination with Project Manager to assure alignment on schedule, resources and deliverables
* Collaborates with Project Manager to resolve issues and escalates unresolved issues as needed
* Participates in, reviews and approves project plan and deliverables under Project Manager oversight
* Ensure that all issues are logged, accurate and up to date with detailed information, record problem symptoms and status information in a timely fashion.
* As needed, meet with other IS departments to maintain proper communication channels related to support.
* Coordinate implementation of changes that have impact to support to ensure changes and impacts are communicated to staff and the user community.
* Assume responsibility for assuring the knowledge base is maintained with current and accurate information.
* Ensure new staff is trained and setup for ongoing development success.
* Build reports on trending and performance metrics as requested.
* Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate.
* Participate in relevant information-sharing activities.
* Monitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate data.
* Ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
* Help build team spirit by assisting other staff members and promoting a positive workplace.
* Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost efficient techniques.
* Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate.
* Support the mission and direction of Concentra, both within the Information Services department and throughout the corporation.
* Create, maintain and update disaster recovery procedures when changes in hardware or applications occur.
* Ensure all changes comply with change management policies and procedures.
* Complete any activities, tasks, and projects assigned.
* Responsible for reporting to and completing work at assigned times.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

* BS or BA or equivalent education and experience

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

* 5 or more years IS experience
* 2 or more years project experience
* 2 or more years healthcare experience with focus on application management either Clinical or Business focused
* 2 or more years leadership experience
