Family Description:

Works within a team to install and seal roof attachments, equipment racking supports and solar panels. Performs construction tasks per manufacturer's installation guidelines. Responsible for electrical wiring of solar arrays/systems (AC and DC) in addition to installing raceways around residential applications including roofs, attics and walls. Reviews job installation plans with Crew Leads and Construction Managers. May assist in tracking inventory as well as test, repair and service technical equipment.

Family Description:

Displays general knowledge of department operations and procedures and some knowledge of relationship with other departments and their systems. Uses judgment to determine most efficient order of activities to achieve established objectives and assigned deadlines. Provides variety of project support assistance to team. Demonstrates ability to utilize specialized and/ or more advanced software.

Complexity:

Works on problems of moderate scope, where data and situational analyses require reviewing a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Builds productive internal and external working relationships.

Teamwork, Collaboration and Influence:

Ensures information is not simply communicated but understood. Relates effectively to many different types of people: superiors, peers and external partners. Seeks ways to enhance team and work group performance. Collaborates within and outside process/area of responsibility. May provide assistance to less experienced employees.

Initiative:

Follows established procedures and specific suggestions. Work is reviewed at critical checkpoints for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy. Demonstrates initiative by seeking additional work assignments, acquiring new skills, and supporting others as appropriate.

Impact and Results Focus:

Proactively highlights and resolves barriers. Solves problems within project scope, and may identify better approaches, features and methods for completing work. Analyzes and resolves most task-related problems by consulting with peers and/or leaders. Able to effectively organize data and convert information and results into report and presentation formats.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree and 4+ years related experience OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience.
