Job Description

Qrypt is hiring an Infrastructure Systems Engineer to design core, backend software components and develop, document and test software systems for use with our custom hardware. You will play a key role in improving the speed, quality and delivery of our cryptographic platform by developing tools that support our developers at Qrypt.

Responsibilities

* Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of our end-to-end encryption system.
* Be responsible for the overall performance of Qrypt's underlying infrastructure.
* Directly contribute to the optimization of the entire lifecycle of services (deployment, scaling, monitoring).
* Know standard security practices and identify any potential infrastructure-specific vulnerabilities.
* Automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of our large-scale Linux environments.
* Gain deep application-level knowledge of our systems and contribute to their overall design.
* Work with our development team to enhance, document, and establish processes and generally improve the operability and security of our systems.
* Improve automation of operational processes (provisioning, replication, deployments, continuous integration)
* Bring monitoring, alerting, and observability for production and non-production issues to the next level.

Qualifications

Due to the nature of our product, employees must have the ability to obtain a security clearance in the future.

* At least 3 years of dev-ops or site reliability software engineering experience.
* 3+ years of experience in software development with proven ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision and great ownership.
* Experience developing automating build, deployment and continuous integration environments.
* Experience configuring monitoring and alerting systems.
* Professional coding experience in Python.
* Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. You enjoy collaboration with others-we don't get work done in an assembly line; success is achieved because everyone pitches in.
* Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with dynamic objectives.
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
* Strong engineering background with preferred fields in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Software Engineering.

* Experience in a rapidly growing tech startup.
* Experience deploying and running a live service with Hardware in the loop.
* Experience in agile environments.
