As a Technical Support Engineer you will be our customer's advocate and be responsible for their continued enablement by becoming an evangelist for the evolving value of the Treasure Data product with customers. We will also look for your input in representing the customers' feedback with the Product team and helping us drive and prioritize the improvements to the product. You love helping customers! You know how exceptionally satisfying it can be to solve a challenging problem for a customer, and you know first-hand how outstanding customer support can make the decided difference in customer acquisition and retention.

In this role, your main responsibilities include:

* Knowing our product inside and out. Because, from the customers' perspective, you are Treasure Data expert
* Handling first-level support cases received from our CRM portal and possibly provide first level technical assistance based on needs and your skills
* Engaging with our customers in live chat support Building our knowledge base by collecting and organizing customer feedback from our support channels
* Reporting and Escalating Bugs to our Engineering team using JIRA for bug tracking; partnering with the team in finding solutions to customer issues
* Represent the customer on requests, advocating for their needs and viewpoints with the Treasure Data team, while properly setting customer expectations.

You should be:

* Knowledgeable with writing SQL queries (mainly Database and product which uses distributed processing technology such as Hadoop)
* Familiar with programming and/or scripting languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Ruby, or Shell).
* Good engineering skills, Unix and Windows OS experience.
* Hands on experience on configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet.
* Experience with building CICD pipelines, agile soft development practices, and Test Driven Development is required.
* Self-driven and Independent
* Collaborative
* An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
