Job Description

Your Focus

* Build and maintain the core infrastructure used by all engineering teams at Ribbon.
* Evangelize data infrastructure best practices at Ribbon.
* Identify and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
* Designing systems which process internal & external data sources and make them available to consumers across the engineering org.
* Ownership of mission critical data pipelines which power Ribbon's consumer products and analytics.
* Create best practices for Ribbon's data infrastructure and evangelize them across the engineering organization.
* Identify high leverage data infrastructure improvements at Ribbon and demonstrate value to end users.

Your Experience

* Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
* Understanding of Spark, Airflow, Kafka and SQL are helpful but not required.
* Familiarity with AWS ecosystem and infrastructure orchestration tools like Chef, Puppet or Terraform.
* Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
