The Lead Infrastructure Engineer role manages and maintains the overall IT infrastructure through hands-on technical support of back-office applications, cloud services and web operations. The position is responsible for ensuring system and network stability and availability, LAN/WAN connectivity across multiple sites, telephony services, mobile and remote access, and data security, as well as troubleshooting active incidents and proactively building policies and procedures to avert them. Extensive experience with core Microsoft technologies and Microsoft Azure cloud services is essential. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Technical Operations.

Success in this role requires

* Extensive experience with cloud and back-office technologies, principally Windows-based
* In depth knowledge of Windows Server 2012/2016 with emphasis on its use for web hosting
* Effective communication skills, working with both technical and non-technical personnel
* The ability to independently manage team projects
* Experience administering and maintaining 24x7 technology operations
* Strong time management and prioritization skills
* Proven experience as escalation point for critical technical issues within the IT infrastructure

Required Skills

* Strong experience supporting web development on Microsoft IIS
* Expertise configuring, administering and supporting Windows Server 2012/2016
* Advanced technical experience with Microsoft Exchange Online and Skype For Business messaging platforms
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365
* Experience with virtualization, particularly MS Hyper-V
* Experience supporting multi-tiered development environments and production code deployment in clustered and load balanced settings
* Familiarity with MSSQL 2012/2016 high availability including MSSQL Database Availability Groups
* Strong background in Microsoft Active Directory/Azure AD, Windows Clusters, security and infrastructure architectural design
* Ability to build scripts/automate processes with MS PowerShell
* Monitoring and maintaining enterprise backups
* Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SCCM for imaging, application and patch deployment
* Familiarity with implementing and optimizing Microsoft SCOM for enterprise monitoring
* Oversight of regular patch management and compliance
* A solid understanding of network principles, VLANs and wireless technologies
* Must be willing to be available for evening and weekend work
* Participate in on call to support 24x7production environments
* 6+ years relevant experience in a fast paced corporate setting

A candidate with any of the following skills will receive extra consideration

* Experience supporting Drupal and/or WordPress in a production environment
* Experience with Cisco and Dell networking equipment, particularly Cisco switches and ASA appliances as well as Dell PowerConnect
* Experience implementing and administering Microsoft Power BI
* Knowledge of Microsoft DevOps (Visual Studio Team Services)
