Job Description

GEICO's IT New Business Sales Configuration Management (CM) and Infrastructure Team has an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and experienced Infrastructure and Application Automation Engineer. We are looking for someone with development/Azure knowledge with .NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Azure Cloud services, and PowerShell to join our team. Our team is responsible for configuration management (build and deployments) and infrastructure in Azure for Auto and Cycle Sale systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 2+ years experience with build and deployment automation tools (e.g. TFS, VSTS , Git)
* 2+ years software development background and scripting with the following languages is required: PowerShell, HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, .NET framework, and JavaScript
* CI/CD pipeline with build and release experience in Azure DevOps (formally known as VSTS)
* Experience in setting up Sonar builds in TFS / Azure DevOps for code quality scans.
* Experience with Agile and scrum process
* Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including communicating technical issues to non-technical audiences
* Systems analysis skills and experience producing complex requirements
* A strong knowledge of the software development life cycle
* Self-motivation and a strong sense of ownership
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently, yet function as an integral part of a dynamic team
* Participate in on-call rotation to provide support for build and deployments for production & non-production applications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Desired Qualifications:

* 1+ year IT industry experience in the DevOps Organization
* Azure Certification is a PLUS. Any of the 70-4xx or 70-5xx (Developing Microsoft Azure Solutions, implementing MS Azure Infrastructure Solutions)
* Experience with an Azure portal, Azure PowerShell, ARM templates and technologies. Automation of infrastructure services on AWS/Azure/Others
