The ISD Purchasing and Contracts Services is seeking a systems administration resource to join the Purchasing Programs Section. The Purchasing Programs Section supports the Procurement module of the eCAPS Financial Enterprise System (eCAPS Procurement). Customer departments which this operation supports include the Auditor-Controller, Sherriff Department, Fire Department, DPSS, DCFS, Probation, as well as varies other county departments. In addition to County Departments, the operation supports vendors who do business with the County for processes that include online vendor registration and the access of the county solicitations for commodities and services.

The selected individual will work at the direction of the team leader, on various tasks and projects related to supporting eCAPS Procurement. The areas for support will include help desk support, conducting formal and informal end user training, troubleshooting, business requirements analysis, systems analysis and design, implementation and production support.

Essential Job Functions

Assists end users with use of eCAPS Procurement and Vendor Self-Service from requests originating from ISD eProcurement Help Desk, via email, HelpStar, etc.

Coordinates eCAPS user registration applications, maintains a database of user profiles.

Conducts trainings of eCAPS/eProcurement functions that include requisitions, solicitations, orders, master agreements, receiving, invoice processing, workflow and approvals, inquires, and reports.

Completes specifications and\or review of existing specifications for system related development; including reports, printing forms, software customizations, and security\workflow requests.

Completes testing and verification of system related development including reports, printing forms, software customizations, work flow and security updates.

Assists with Department implementation activities.

Additional Information

Desirable Qualifications:

* Experience assisting end users with troubleshooting system related issues, diagnosing problems, and problem resolution.Experience conducting both formal and informal end user systems training.
* Experience supporting and following established procedures for with large scale County systems.
* Experience with any of the eCAPS Enterprise Financial modules.
* Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to provide clear, concise written communications.
* Good verbal communication skills.
* Excellent customer service skills.

The vacancy is in the Purchasing and Contract Services, Purchasing Division located at 1100 N. Eastern Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90063. This worksite provides alternate work schedules including 5/40, 4/40 and 9/80. Free employee parking is provided.
