Perspecta has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Information Systems Security Officer in Washington, DC.

The Security ISSO responsibilities include the following:

* Performs annual core control assessments; or on an on-going basis as required


* Performs Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) documentation updates, as needed


* Has extensive knowledge of CSAM;


* Enters system documentation required in CSAM for assigned systems


* Performs required vulnerability scan reviews or ad hoc scan reviews depending on vulnerabilities;


* Reviews system audit logs;


* Identifies and report Plan of Action and Milestone (POAMs) to system owners at a detail level; monitor for corrective action and submit on time a report for the monthly POAM meeting;


* Monitors and submit monthly updates of assigned SDS System SPDR scores; work with system owner/manager to reduce the SPDR score


* Provides advice, options and possible solutions to team members, system managers and system owners when addressing information assurance assessments challenges; raise concerns in a positive and professional manner


* Ensures customer inquiries and responses are technically accurate and delivered in a professional manner


* Completes required Security Awareness training as scheduled, in accordance with DOJ IT policy, to include Computer Security Awareness Training (CSAT) on an annual basis


* Comply with DOJ (Department of Justice) policies and procedures


* Attends the SDS Security/ Compliance Team meetings regularly and engage as an active contributor in information exchange, development of workshops and presentations for system owners and functional Points of Contact (POCs)



Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

* Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) required, preferably in computer science, engineering or related area of study


* 10 - 12 years of experience


* CISSP or DOD 8570-1 certifications
