Responsibilities/Qualification

Position Summary

Leads projects related to information systems design, development, and analysis in a cloud environment encompassing production of security Authority to Operate (ATO) documentation based on ICD 503 and NIST standards, and cloud transition documentation in support of a highly regarded Department of Defense agency.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provides leadership in the design, building and maintenance of information systems infrastructures.

Builds, manages and maintains complex data systems, which include servers, storage, designs, applications, databases and networks.

Performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs in support of one or more functional areas.

Supports the production, maintenance, and revisions of the Cybersecurity Operating Procedures, Systems Security Plans, Software lists, and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) Documentation including:

* Concept of Operations
* System Security Plan
* Privacy threshold Analysis
* Categorization and Selection Worksheet
* Firewall Change Requests
* Audit Strategy
* Configuration Management Plan
* IT Disaster Recovery Plan
* Security Test Procedures
* Plan of Action and Milestones
* Security Impact Determination Request

Assists the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and function concerning an ATO.

Creates and maintains documentation pertaining to all aspects of software applications, systems operations, system testing, and end user documentation, including cloud transition documentation

Interfaces with customer to gather and translate technical requirements, recommend solutions, provide status, and manage issues/requests.

Contributes to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure, architecture, including security elements, used throughout the IT solution set.

Provides leadership to less experienced Information Systems Engineers.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline and 12-15 years of directly related experience. Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum of 3+ years of Cloud security and IT experience (AWS preferred).

In some cases, requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 15 years applicable work experience, or for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.

Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

Strong communication skills including the ability to document/diagram information systems and procedures, produce RMF accreditation packages, create Cyber Security policies, and generate other security artifacts

Well-qualified candidates will also demonstrate expertise in the following technical areas:

* Working knowledge of cloud platforms, identity federation, networking, application, database, infrastructure and/or server administration.
* Information Security and control certifications preferred (CISSP, CISM, Security Plus, etc.).
* Experience designing, configuring, implementing and leveraging cloud services models for system security.
* AWS Solution Architect, CISSP, CCSP, CEH or other information system security certifications.
* Minimum of 5+ years of security experience (experience and understanding of all security domains)
* Minimum of 10 years of IT experience (server/desktop hardware & software, networking, storage, disaster recovery, and backup/restore).

US Citizen and a current security clearance of a TS/SCI is required at the time of employment. Polygraph may be required after employment.
