POSITION SUMMARY

The Information Security System Administrator will be supporting the Intelligence Community (IC). This person will provide our customer with the onsite technical support for the information systems for the technical and analytical support contract related to the technology support efforts for this classified program.

This role will join Juniper's internal technical Information Technology Computer Incident Response Team (IT-CIRT) reporting to the Director of Information Security over Security Operations, Forensics, eDiscovery, Data Loss Prevention, and Information Governance.

Job responsibilities will be split between supporting the IC by managing classified information technology systems (30%) and supporting IT-CIRT with Information Security and Forensic related matters (70%). Training can be provided for IT-CIRT related activities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The primary purpose of this position is to maintain the computer networking system in a classified environment by tracking server activity, performing upgrades of software, maintaining computer hardware, addressing questions about technical problems, and improving efficiency by evaluating system network functions. This candidate will also participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization and ensure that system hardware, operating systems, and software systems are fully operational. This candidate will have a role in accrediting the systems.

* Administer network and data security, including directory, group policy, firewalls, antivirus, email security, etc.
* Respond to and resolve server and operating system issues assigned through the enterprise
* Identify technical environment issues and implement solutions to mitigate problems.
* Perform routine proactive server maintenance activities including firmware upgrades, patching etc.
* Research and test recurring problems, determine anomalies within supported software applications
* Update and create technical product trouble-shooting documentation
* Assists with input on server projects
* Analytical, technical and administrative work in the planning, design and installation of new and existing computer systems.
* Identify complex technical environment issues and implement permanent resolutions to mitigate problems.
* Perform advanced proactive server maintenance cluster/high availability maintenance etc
* Develop processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment.
* Work closely with project management, technical services and support group, external vendor partners, and the client to ensure a smooth implementation and transition of the servers and related products

SUPPLIMENTARY FUNCTIONS:

Training can be provided

* Assess network threats such as computer viruses, exploits, and malicious attacks.
* Determining true threats, false positives, and network system misconfigurations, and provide solutions to issues detected in a timely and repeatable manner.
* Monitor for potential compromise, intrusion, deficiency, significant event, or threat to the security posture.
* Update and maintain standard operating procedures and other technical documentation.
* May work with Federal and/or state and local law enforcement agencies.
* Mentors junior members of the team.
* Participates in incident response sometimes taking ownership and leading an incident to conclusion.
* Fundamental Digital Forensics & Incident Response experience
* Employs forensic tools and techniques to recover deleted, fragmented and corrupted data from digital media of all types. Conducts imaging and data extraction processes on a variety of media including mobile devices.
* Observes proper evidence custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports.
* Develops, researches and maintains proficiency in tools, techniques, countermeasures and trends in computer and network vulnerabilities, data hiding, and encryption
* Supports Data Loss Prevention (DLP) efforts

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements/Skills Required:

* Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
* Bachelor's Degree in Management, Security, or related field.
* 5-8 years of related experience in a secure environment, preferably special access programs.
* Excellent communication skills, orally and in writing;
* Good customer relation skills and the ability to work independently;
* Certifications in Security +; CISSP
