Copart is looking for an Information Security Intern to ensure that our infrastructure and applications are exceeding the highest of security standards. As part of our IT Security Team, this person will have a passion for developing policies and procedures, play a key role in enabling the organization to effectively manage risk, and help in keeping up day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

* Assist in engineering and operating security solutions for Copart infrastructure
* Playing a key role in solution implementation for new security capabilities, to include conducting proof of concepts and managing relationships with vendors
* Enhancing the security posture of infrastructure and security tools
* BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Cyber Security, or equivalent experience
* Critical thinking skills and the abilitiy to solve problems logically
* Familiarity with environment compliance/audit programs is a plus
* Any industry certifications are a plus
* Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, and Powershell is a plus
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisions
* Innate curiosity and ingenuity
