Who we're looking for

The TFS Information Security Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Information Security - Data Protection Engineer.

The TFS Information Security Data Protection Engineer is responsible for the technical management of Data Security technologies used to protect TFS data in all stages of its life-cycle. The position focuses on the system engineering aspects of the Data Loss Prevention solutions, eDiscovery systems, Email encryption platforms, and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB). With the ever changing landscape of Cyber Security, confidential data is a prime target for attackers. TFS requires an engineer who will develop systems to prevent the theft and loss of data.

The role is expected to work with the Sr. Information Security Data Security Lead to ensure detective, protective, and response controls meet internal and external requirements. Technical knowledge will include but is not limited to configuring security application monitoring, upgrading platforms, ensuring operational efficiency for users, and improving the security posture of the Data Security program. Part of a larger team, the role will contribute to the overall growth and maturity of Global Information Security Services program.

What you'll be doing

* Manage Data Loss Prevention platforms for but not limited to email, network, host, file shares, and databases


* Manage CASB Platforms and integrations with SaaS and IaaS providers


* Design, test, and implement detection and prevention controls in respective platforms as a response to data security policy, regulation, best practices, penetration testing, etc.


* Research, Plan, Design, Implement and retire Data Security applications to meet industry, internal and regulatory specifications for TFS and affiliate organizations


* Ensure a 99.9% uptime in existing & future Data Security platforms from avoidable defects; responsible for troubleshooting issues, defects, bugs, or other concerns affecting system performance


* Responsible for maintaining and enhancing but not limited to, architectural, configuration and procedural documentation of the current and future Security Applications


* Participate in remediation efforts related to Data Security controls; remediation activities may include but are not limited to responding to incidents, penetration tests, vulnerability scans, internal/external audits and critical practice assessments


* Conduct periodic training and knowledge transfer sessions for external/internal department staff and business partners


* Develop, maintain and enhance reports and metrics for various technical and non-technical audiences; reports include but are not limited to system performance and detection summaries


* Optimize system policies to best support the effectiveness and performance of analysts reviewing incidents


* Maintain industry and regulatory knowledge, as it relates to Data Security, to contribute to the global data protection program


* Responsible for the execution of Data Security initiatives to align with current and future regulatory and internal requirements



What you bring

* High School Education or Equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred
* 2-5 years of information security and data protection work experience required
* 1-2 Years of Data Loss Prevention tool experience (such as, but not limited to, Deployment, Configuration, Administration, Migration, etc.) using software such as McAfee DLP, Symantec DLP, IBM Digital Guardian, Forcepoint, etc. required
* 1-2 Years of Secure Email Gateway (such as, but not limited to, Deployment, Configuration, Administration, Migration, etc.) using software such as Proofpoint, Symantec, Microsoft O365, Zix Email Encryption, etc. required
* Up to 2 years of Database and/or Data Encryption related work experience preferred
* 1-2 Years of Data Classification tool experience (such as, but not limited to, Deployment, Configuration, Administration, Migration, etc.) using software such as Titus Illuminate & Data Classification, Veritas Data Insight, Microsoft 365 Enterprise, etc. preferred
* One of the following certifications GIAC, CEH, Security , CISSP or equivalent preferred
