Job Description

Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action. Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls. Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries. Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements. Assists COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities. Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs. Leads and performs Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements. Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information. Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements. Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements. Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams. Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries. The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity as an Industrial Security Specialist in support of New Business programs. This position requires applicants to be experienced and knowledgeable of Special Access Programs (SAP)/Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) and perform as the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO). As the CPSO you will be required to conduct assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. Applicants must have a thorough understanding of personnel security, physical security, and COMSEC requirements for SAP/SCIs. The selected applicant is required to have strong administrative skills to organize and retain government and company documents. Selected applicant must be able to successfully obtain program access within 60-days of submittal. Other responsibilities include: • Perform Personnel Security processes following the 5200 series manuals and DoD PSQ processes to include use of JPAS (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements. • Perform TSCO/Data Management functions to include accountability, inventory, marking guidance, classification management, courier oversight and training. • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information. • Perform Data Transfer Agent functions. • Conducts Government Security Investigations (GSI) on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. • Assists less experienced personnel with GSIs. • Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements when required. • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs. • Able to generate Standard Operating Procedures, Program Protection Plan or Program Protection Implementation Plans • Travel and support offsite operations as needed • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements. • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements. • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams. • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs. • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements. • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action. Required Qualifications This position requires an active U.S. Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active) Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Experience in an Industrial Security role A current/in-scope (within 5 years) Single Scope Background Investigation or a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SSBI or SCI). Typical Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and typically 6 or more years' related work experience, a Master's degree and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
