Industrial Security Specialist

* Clearance: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a polygraph level clearance after hire
* Location: Springfield, VA
* Years of Experience: 11-14 Years
* Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within a related field

Position Overview:

Member of a multidiscipline security team for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's (NGA) Industrial Security Team. Deliver subject matter expert Industrial Security support to secure NGA's people, facilities, information, and systems while providing guidance and oversight to support an effective protection program. You should be a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and clearly understand the customer's expectations and requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Provide industrial security guidance to contractors using the NISPOM requirements.
* Conduct Customer Assistance Visits at Industrial facilities and complete detailed trip reports.
* Respond to Help Desk tickets and requests for information.
* Prepare and complete accurate DD-254 forms and other contract security documents.
* Reference and use DoD and IC security directives, instructions, standards, and guidelines to enforce compliance and mitigate security risks.
* Maintain well organized electronic and hardcopy records.
* Coordinate with other government agencies in support of NGA.
* Prepare and submit National Interest Determination documents.
* Prepare business and administrative support documents using electronic software tools for efficient and effective program and project management, examples include presentations, written documents, spreadsheets, SharePoint, and other office software tools.
* Maintain an active access to administration and security electronic software tools, databases and systems as needed to safeguarding classified information, NGA programs and advance the Industrial and Physical Security Programs of NGA.
* Draft, review, and maintain internal NGA policy documents, standard operating procedures, and instructional handouts pertaining to Physical and Industrial Security.
* Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external customers.
* Prepare various forms of correspondence as required.
* Ensure assigned security projects and programs comply with required security governance for physical, industrial, information, and other applicable security disciplines, e.g., IC Directives; DOD directives, instructions and manuals; security standards, national interim guidance, and Executive Orders governing physical, industrial and information security.
* Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials

Required Qualifications:

* Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a polygraph level clearance after hire
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience within a related field
* Minimum of 11 years' experience, and with 5 or more years' in the intelligence community focused on IC experience.
* General knowledge of security practices with emphasis in personnel, physical and/or industrial security.
* Some travel may be required for this position.
