Provides interpretations of and improvements to Information Security policies and procedures for secure application development and fluent in application code development. Ensures end-to-end security of products through hands on testing, threat modeling, administering technical direction to software development teams, remediating risks upfront, and championing secure implementation efforts. Collaborates with product development teams to manage software security risks aligned with business goals. Provides troubleshooting approaches and mitigations to quickly resolve platform issues and ensures application robustness and security. Improves and automates secure coding practices, application security requirements, training, and metrics. The Boeing Company is seeking a highly talented and motivated experienced Incident Response Software / Tool Developer to join our information security team in Bellevue, WA. The Incident Response Tool Developer is focused on advancing the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Cyber Security Operations Center (CSOC) incident response capabilities. Position Responsibilities Develop and deploy full-stack software solutions in support of incident response capabilities Assist with end-to-end security of capabilities via hands-on testing, threat modeling, software development, and remediating risks Maintain an awareness of a broad set of application security threats, trends, and technologies. Team with incident responders on events and incidents to adjust needed mitigations and quickly resolve tool / platform issues while maintaining application robustness and security This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility This job is eligible for a referral bonus in the amount of $1,500 US dollars (USD) for eligible Boeing Employees. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Strong experience in object-oriented programming languages Knowledge of computer science theory fundamentals like algorithms and data structure design Experience with databases and query languages Understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, etc.). Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Full-stack web application development experience Strong experience with Python Experience with Service-oriented architecture (SOA), microservices, and REST APIs Familiarity with Linux/Unix OS and internals Understanding of cyber-attack techniques and methodologies Technical degree with an emphasis in software development Work experience in Cyber/IT Security Typical Education / Experience: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study. This position is subject to the Inside Data Protection Security Background Screening process which will determine the applicant's suitability for access to highly sensitive information. The background screening process will review the applicant's external criminal records, credit checks where allowed by state law, claimed education, as well as internal (Boeing) records. The background screenings are conducted every two years.
