Position Description:
Imaging Algorithm Engineer will be reporting into the Global Product
Development Imaging Team in Chicago, IL. They will be a key contributor to
Imaging within future Motorola products. Image Algorithm Engineer will be part
of a team that owns all aspects of imaging from light in to JPG out. This
means that they have to generate a broad knowledge about the entire imaging
chain of optics, mechanical, electrical and SW processing of the image data.

Position Requirements:
The imaging engineer supports design, validation, and trouble shooting of
imaging solutions.

The candidate must show a strength in one area of imaging, and a demonstrated
eagerness and ability to learn all the other parts of the imaging system. The
candidate should have strong skills in math and physics.

The candidate must have a in depth alogrithmic knowledge Noise or of at least
one of the 3As of Imaging: Auto White Balance, Auto Exposure and/or Auto
Focus. S/he will be involved in one of those areas on a day to day basis to
come up with new alogrithms or improvements to those algorithms to help foster
a best in class mobile imaging solution.

The candidate must have excellent documentation skills, work well in a team
environment, and respond to a dynamic development cycle.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Imaging Science, Optics, EE or Computer Engineering
* 2+ years relative industry experience
* Experience with Matlab, C/C++ and statistical analysis like ANOVA, Image Processing.

Preferred Qualifications

* Masters Degree in Imaging Science, Optics, EE or Computer Engineering or PhD Degree
* Familiarity with Image Quality standards and Camera Phone Image Quality Metrics.
* Passion for Imaging/Photography
