MTEQ is a lead sensor system integrator focused on providing advanced sensor technology to address C4ISR mission requirements. MTEQ provides a broad range of technical support across two divisions. Our Technical Services Division provides research, development, analysis and field service support to advance the architecting and fielding of advanced sensor systems for ISR and Force Protection missions. Our System Division provide the engineering design, development of complete and integrated solutions from hardware to software for sensors, systems and command and control architecture.

MTEQ is seeking an Image Scientist/Image Specialist with experience in conducting research on applied image processing and scientific analysis of imagery related to spectral imaging systems, hyperspectral image formation, and the associated discipline and phenomenologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in design, testing, and implementing remote sensing systems and devices, including the application of algorithms to the customer's specifications. The candidate will help identify and arrange for necessary training related to the operation of remote sensing systems and optical and/or chemical analysis equipment, including applicable software, and provide imagery science support specifically related to the exploitation of optical and spectral imagery. The candidate must be able to investigate innovative and emerging technologies to incorporate into spectral analysis, and analyze operational requirements and recommend optical or programming solutions to meet client's needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

* Knowledge of spectro-radiometric calibration and enhancement of hyperspectral imaging systems (HSI), as well as algorithm development for the detection and classification of targets of interest in hyperspectral images.

REQUIREMENTS:

* BA/BS in remote sensing, physics, geography, GIS, computer science or other related field.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Experience with spectral image processing and data storage.
* Familiarity with statistical analysis of image data, and image transformations, enhancement, classification and filtering.
* Background in ENVI/IDL, MATLAB, Python, C/C++
* Experience in documenting and presenting scientific data and results.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

Must possess at least a secret clearance, with ability to obtain TS/SCI
