Company/Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Architect to lead a project to build a custom and COTS Identity and Access Management integration solution for our Government client. In this role you will collaborate with our Agile engineering team and stakeholders to understand system requirements and to architect, design, and implement an integrated Identity and Access Management solution that unifies several existing applications. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has experience implementing an IdAM solution working on IT software infrastructure projects and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. Candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The primary work location is in Rockville, MD with occasional client visits in Washington, D.C.

In this role you will:

* Lead the architecture, design, and implementation activities of a six-person engineering team
* Conduct prototyping and solution development based on customer requirements
* Implement a solution leveraging the WSO2 Identity Server platform
* Support the design and implementation of browser-based user authentication pages and integration with WSO2 and existing applications using REST, SAML, and OAuth 2.0 protocols
* Lead an effort to migrate and consolidate existing accounts and roles into the single solution
* Lead technical requirement elaboration efforts with the support of the Business Analyst and client Product Owners
* Translate use case requirements into technical specifications
* Prototype functionality for internal and client review
* Implement single-sign-on capabilities
* Follow software development methodology and architecture standards
* Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout life cycle to identify issues/defects; participate in other meetings, such as those for use case creation
* Develop estimates for design and implementation level of effort
* Conduct client technical and project status briefings

Mandatory Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

* Experience architecting, designing and implementing Identity and Access Management Solutions
* Hands-on experience developing browser-based applications utilizing COTS and Java-based backend APIs
* Experience with REST, SAML, and OAuth 2.0 protocols
* Ability to lead daily activities of a six-person implementation team
* Must be able to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced, on-time deliverable environment
* Strong analytical skill and mindset, with research, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities
* Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
* Bachelor's Degree
* Must be able to attain a Public Trust clearance. Possessing an existing Public Trust clearance is a plus.

Desired Qualifications (Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

* Experience using WSO2 Identity Server or similar tools
* Web service or API development
* Familiarity with Angular, ReactJS, or similar frameworks
* SSO integration experience
* Hands on experience working in Agile projects
* Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience
* Familiarity with government processes necessary to gain system Authority to Operate
