I.T. Knowledge Base - Summer Intern

Job Description

In this role, you will be helping improve and grow the IT Knowledge Base to enhance and enable self-service to solve computer, software and other IT related issues. Activities will include creating brief, specific knowledge articles, how to videos/guides, and researching additional sources for reference by Beckman Coulter associates to resolve or assist them in their computer use. You will experience an opportunity to interact on a global scale with IT professionals across Beckman Coulter to ensure solutions and articles are effective and meeting goal. Potential to design or program automated workflows to be used in conjunction with the knowledge base. Goal is to reduce support time by enabling associates to resolve issues through Knowledge.

* Excellent English writing ability


* Bonus: Additional language writing abilities (Spanish, Portuguese, French, etc)


* Interpersonal skills to allow gathering of detailed information for documentation


* Work with teams to provision a single & consistent knowledge search experience that pulls knowledge content from multiple repositories


* Research skills


* Organized to allow tracking of activities and time spent


* Experience with (not an expert): Windows 10, MS Office, One Drive, MS Teams, various internet browsers, computer hardware, iPhone, Sharepoint, Cherwell or other ITSM tool (Information Technology Service Management)


* Ability to create short videos using video, screen capture and other sources


* Comfortable with recording self in video and audio formats (for use in knowledge articles/videos)


* Bonus: programming experience which could be used to create automated workflows


* Self-starter to seek out next step, ask questions and pursue solutions
