Job Description

BAI is currently hiring for a Human Research Protections Analyst to join our team in DC. The Human Research Protections Analyst will provide ongoing support to Department-level oversight of a human subjects research portfolio, applying provisions of the Common Rule, Subparts A through D, in the execution of their daily responsibilities. This position is responsible for assisting in the provision of initial determinations, exemption reviews, and secondary compliance assessments.

The successful candidate must be comfortable interacting with senior leadership and General Counsel, up to and including the Under Secretary level, in order to assist federal managers. Applicants must be detail oriented, and able to maintain comprehensive records that document the number, type, and outcome of assessments conducted.

Requirements

* Bachelor's Degree (related discipline)
* 5 years of experience in human research protections programs (IRB, secondary review, etc.)
* Working knowledge of the Common Rule
* Strong familiarity with social-behavioral research
* Secret Security clearance

Desired Skills

* Master's Degree (related discipline)
* Working knowledge of the Common Rule and familiarity with the revisions
* Experience with generating policies, guidance documents, and SOPs
* Demonstrate excellent records keeping / management skills
* Experience supporting Department-level oversight
