About this Position

Hosting & Compute Service Delivery owns end-to-end delivery for Mobility's hosting and compute technologies, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security. This role plans, delivers, enhances, and supports (tier three) Mobility's hosting and compute infrastructure. This role will receive direction from the Infrastructure Services Lead and will work in close conjunction with the Business Relationship Manager to understand the Business Units specific needs, while consulting with the Architecture, Strategy, and Innovation Lead to ensure solutions comply with established architecture standards.

Responsibilities & Duties

* Define the cloud-first, hosting and compute strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the Infrastructure Services Lead
* Establish the hosting, storage and compute technology lifecycle approach, including refresh and retirement strategies
* Design, deliver, enhance, and support (tier three) cloud enabled hosting and compute services that are scalable, reliable, and secure per agreed SLAs to Mobility business units
* Conduct review of potential applications / vendor solutions to ensure their viability and consistency with the rest of the hosting and compute portfolio, and what additional design is needed for integration
* Coordinate with Corporate Aptiv hosting and compute service owners to ensure continuity and integration between existing Corporate solutions and Mobility
* Liaise with Corporate Aptiv security organization to ensure hosting and compute services are secure and compliant
* Proactively identify opportunities for improvements with a focus on enabling automation and self-service for Mobility end users
* Perform in-depth root cause analysis of hosting and compute problems and define actions for timely resolution and corrective actions; work with relevant vendors as necessary to assist with root cause analysis and problem resolution
* Provide thought leadership and apply leading trends in hosting and compute across service planning and delivery
* Support Vendor Management Lead and Infrastructure Services Lead to issue hosting and compute related RFPs, asses bid proposals, negotiate contracts, and onboard vendors
* Collaborate with Business Relationship Managers to collect requirements from Mobility business units to shape IAM services
* Assist in the design and development of high-performance computing solutions as needed by the business
* Serve as a Subject Matter Advisor on hosting and compute technologies and act as the escalation resource for tier three support / major incidents with the Customer & Support Services team
* Flexible to support delivery of infrastructure services outside of hosting and compute, specifically within the areas of end user computing; storage & data; networking, and identity access management
* Lead hosting and compute projects from planning to delivery which may require cross coordination with Corporate Aptiv

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or information systems
* 8+ years of relevant work experience
* Experience working within Hosting & Compute Service Delivery or similar function
* Knowledge of hosting and compute architecture frameworks, concepts, and designing IT solutions
* Experience working within Windows and Linux operating environments along with enabling cloud services like AWS and Azure across business units
* Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment, and make sound decisions in emergency situations
* Highly self-motivated and directed with attention to detail
* Strong customer service orientation
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
* Proven skills in service development, delivery, operations

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience and familiarity with end user computing; storage & data; networking, and identity access management services
* Experience supporting fast moving business organizations
* Knowledge of High Performance Computing and Storage Systems
* Relevant experience in a service oriented organization
* Ability to develop & articulate technology innovation roadmap and vision
* Strong strategic planning skills
* Experience managing relationships across varying levels of technical competency
